The brief

A leadership program too big for its plumbing.

Global Leadership Network develops young leaders through its Next Gen program: a values-based leadership toolkit used in schools — around twelve courses and four hundred video lessons, each paired with a teacher workbook and student worksheets.

All of it lived on WordPress, held together by three heavyweight plugins: one running the lessons, one running the memberships, one running the community. Every layer added friction for the teachers it was built to serve. The brief was to move the whole toolkit onto Thinkific — where courses, access and payment are one system — and make it feel like it was born there.

The approach

A migration this size is really a rebuild, and that is the point — not photocopying an old structure into a new tool, but re-architecting it for the way schools actually buy and teach. The program tiers became clean products: Premium Primary, Premium Secondary and Ultimate, plus single resource packs for one-off events, with school-year access terms in place of tangled membership rules.

The lesson library moved with its pairing intact — every lesson a video with its teacher workbook and student worksheet beside it, organised so a teacher lands on the right material without a manual. And the platform carries GLN's brand, so the toolkit still looks and feels like the program schools already know.

Agency Astro has built an incredible platform tailored to our unique needs… it is unlike anything we have seen in Australia.

In short

The Next Gen toolkit now has a platform sized to its ambition instead of its plumbing: one system for courses, access and payment, with room to grow — and a team free to spend its energy on young leaders rather than on keeping three plugins talking to each other.
